Life In Progress, as of 2026-08-01

• I’m working part-time at a local grocer, generally stocking produce and gossiping with the florist. It provides some good socialization, gets me out of my house, and doesn’t require the same sort of attention that the technology-adjacent work does.

• I’m playing through Skyrim for the first time in over a decade. I just recently finished a life-impacting (seriously) mod called DAc0da (and I wrote about it), and I’m excited to continue my journey. I might try to stream it.

• I’ve decided to try and adhere to this year’s Blaugust. It boils down to, “blog in August.” I’m aiming for 1 post a week. I’m hoping to use it as a means to establish some better habits.

• I’ve been seriously enjoying my bass again, and I feel I’m improving significantly each time I put effort to it. Inspired by bands like Rush and Primus, I want to find a teacher to help me both improve on bass, improve my vocals, and combine the two.

• I’m still having fun dabbling in game development, though my focus has faultered a bit this year.

• I’m slowly growing my own business, and finding more clients. I still feel confident that this is the path to success for me.
